A Civic Movement for Educational Justice in Haiti: APA’s New Documentary is Live!

This powerful film marks APA's 10th anniversary and captures the inspiring journey of our mission to transform education in Haiti.

Directed by Le Paradis Haitien, the documentary highlights the enduring impact of APA’s innovative initiatives across Haiti. Since its inception in 2014, the APA movement has been committed to addressing the systemic challenges in Haiti's education system. Over the last decade, APA has engaged over 600 civic leaders to spur transformation within classrooms and across the entire community.

10 years after the movement’s inception, we can’t ignore the many present-day challenges facing Haiti, including political instability and social unrest. APA believes in the power of a strong, equitable education system in overcoming these obstacles and building a brighter future for all Haitians. APA's work is framed within the broader context of Haiti's ongoing struggle for justice and equality, making it clear that education is not just a tool for personal advancement, but a vital component of national development. This documentary captures the essence of hope that is well alive across communities in Haiti to showcase that, although the problems are many, the solutions are indeed possible.
